Local Love - Fine Mess Pottery

So, this past summer Nick and I went on the Maine Pottery tour together. It was so much fun, and we met some incredible artists. Wonderful people that live to play in mud. People that revel in the messy goodness of the earth, and smile as they create something beautiful out of nothing.

I am one of those people thanks to my favorite art teacher in high school. I am fairly certain that if you were to cut her open, she would bleed clay. O_O

One of the artists I met on that day was Lori from Fine Mess Pottery. She is a rock-star with clay. Her work is fun and artsy, and definitely unique.

However, this post is not about her works of clay... It is about her soap.
Yep, you read that right. How appropriate that a woman that spends her life knee deep in clay would decide to make soap to help clean up the mess! Every lover of clay knows the pain of dry skin, so she makes her soap super moisturizing, and I am in love.

Heavenly Soap
Look at it! It's so cute! This is her Heavenly soap scent. The best way to describe this scent is "feminine". I am NOT a fan of floral scented anything, but this soap does it right. It's light and sweet and the lather is unbelievable. It is difficult to tell in the photo, but this soap actually has pretty gold veins of mica. The bars are large, and they last forever!
Mochaccino Soap
This is her Mochaccino scent. I have to admit that I am tempted to take a bite out of this soap every time I smell it. This is my favorite out of the two, but hey, I am a baker. I like anything that smells good enough to eat. The hearts are so cute!

Her soap is luxury in a bar. I have been making soap for years, and have never made anything quite like this. She still has some left for sale on her Website. Grab a few bars while you can!

With Love from LoveWix,

Jade
